Australian Alzheimer’s Research Foundation CEO
Published: May 10, 2023

The Australian Alzheimer’s Research Foundation (AARF) is a registered charity, and following substantial tenure and success of the incumbent CEO, is seeking to appoint a new CEO to advance the organisation to the next level of its evolution.

Candidates for the role will offer strong medical research experience and ideally be formally qualified at the level of a research Master’s or doctoral (PhD) degree. Applicants will also offer a substantial leadership and management history.

The CEO needs to be both strategic and operational and demonstrate a background of compliance with financial, risk mitigation, regulatory and legislative requirements relevant to the AARF. The CEO is responsible for the human capital needs of the AARF and for driving and maintaining a positive culture within the organisation.

The CEO is ambassadorial and is expected to succeed through advocacy and engagement with communities of relevance to the AARF such as public and private research funders, donors, media and communications, State and Commonwealth government and forums, patient organisations, clinical trial sponsors, universities and medical research institutes.

The CEO reports to the Chairman and Board and works closely with the Director of Research. This is a full time role based in Perth, Western Australia.
